PATRIOTISM BEGINS AT HOME

This Manhattan apartment plays with blueberry blues, strawberry reds, and whip cream white (wow - I know what I want for desert!), for a mix that's part colonial, part modern, part Asian, and mostly melting pot. Scroll below for a few examples of how Sao Paulo designer Sig Bergamin layers the Colors with numerous patterns and textures, for a happy, cheerful mix that doesn't overwhelm.

Bergamin uses large patterns with color and flourish, and deploys smaller designs as near-neutrals; plenty of white in the couch, chair, and picture mats give room to breathe.

Mirrors expand the vista.

The bedroom continues the story (even with the same rug), combining red, white, blue, and a touch of corn yellow.

Finally, don't forget to say thank you to our men and women in uniform. It would be Dependence Day without them. :)

Have a wonderful and safe Fourth of July!
